For the last few years, Beth has dedicated herself to developing picture book ideas as both writer and illustrator. She participates
in many SCBWI events, joined a brilliant writing group and wakes before the sun each day to work in her studio. Beth now has several stories ready to enter the world and hopefully make their way into
the hands of children.
Beth also illustrated written by Mary Ann Rothman (starred Publishers Weekly review)
and
written by Eve Bunting published with BOYDS MILL PRESS.
Her first illustrating job came about when author Barbara Bottner saw an exhibition of Beth's watercolors of abandoned buildings at the PASADENA HISTORICAL MUSEUM and was inspired to write Years later this quiet picture book was sold to Peachtree Publishers.

She has also edited award-winning documentaries for National Geographic, Warner Brothers, Paramount Vantage and IMAX. The storytelling skills and persistence learned in these fields help her when creating books for children.
